When contemplating exactly what to write about our experience with Erika and Everbloom I found myself in the unfamiliar situation of being unsure exactly where to start. Erika is a truly gifted steward of nature. Her generosity of spirit and desire to regenerate the earth we all share would be reason enough to sing her praises, but the results she garners are beyond reproach. Bloom Hill Botanicals has been undertaking the dubious task of revitalizing soil that has laid nearly dormant for years. With Erika’s help in our first year of planting we were about to turnaround a calcium deficiency without introducing any kind of synthetic chemicals to the soil. Diving into our 2017 cycle, we fell prey to the mite epidemic that made life difficult for so many of Oregon’s outdoor cannabis producers. Erika’s sage advice lead us to use a comprehensive IPM model that kept our field happy and healthy all the way to harvest. This season (2018) we’ve kept up all the preemptive aspects of our IPM model and we haven't seen any negative insect activity this season. At the end of the day, Erika and Everbloom are resources any garden can be grateful to have a connection with.
